Took the kidlets to Disneyland, the beach, LA and the San Bernadino mountains over Christmas (more stories to come), but when I got back home I noticed something ...
There I was, snapping photos of the kids romping in the surf, and I never noticed a thing. Not until I came home and made this picture my screensaver. Click on it and make it bigger. Do you see what I see?

I don't see a picture. Where is it?
Well, phooey! It's a fabulous picture of a sunset over the Pacific -- and there are two tiny dorsel fins sticking up in the background. I wonder why it's not showing up; it says it loaded and shows up here. Bah, humbug!
I see them. Oh, that is pretty scary. I am glad we live in Denmark where there are no such dangers. Two of them too. It looks such a blissful scene until you see those fins!
Holy crap Julie! Glad the girls weren't IN the water! Yikes.
They're dolphins. We see them frolicking (and hunting) all the time. There really aren't any sharks that size off the beaches of L.A., and the ones we have aren't aggressive toward humans. (What is it about California wildlife? We have sharks that are literally more scared of you than you are of them, bears that run away when you band a spoon against a pot, and coyotes that tend to flee at the sight of a human. Oh, well, at least the mountain lions make up for them ...)
Sorry to make it seem less exciting!
